Photo album

The photo album with a brown leather cover and gold decorative stripes on the spine was produced with the greatest effort and care. It served as a memento, as well as to present and report on events in society. In addition to numerous photos, the collection includes many holiday souvenirs: travel documents, an Interflug baggage tag, sugar, salt and pepper sachets, sweet wrappers, a boarding card, a hotel brochure and even a sample of material from a market. The individual pages of the album are separated using parchment paper with a spider-web pattern. The album is entirely dedicated to a 15-day trip to Bulgaria, travelling on horse-drawn carts and wagons. Thus, the album is onomatopoeically called: “Trippel-Trappel-Tour”, with the subtitle “Mit Pferd und Wagen durch die Schluchten des Balkans” (“Through the Balkan gorges on horse-drawn carts”).
