Plastic drinking bottle
Rectangular-shaped drinking bottle
The rectangular-shaped drinking bottle (19.0 x 11.0 x 5.0 cm) made of soft plastic with a transparent vessel wall was very well known and often taken on day trips. The bottle’s flat shape made it easy to stow away, while the material makes it very light, hardly adding to the luggage weight. It did not require a drinking vessel, since a cup is fixed onto the top of the bottle as a kind of lid. The bottle is sealed using a screw top, which is also made of plastic. The manufacturer’s logo, “Pneumant” by VEB Gummiwerke Thüringen, is inscribed on the bottom of the bottle. The bottle has a volume of aroud half a litre and was also available with different-coloured cups, e.g. orange or yellow.
